Biography

Dr. Gopika Prasad graduated from Government Medical College in Trivandrum, Kerala, with an MBBS in 2004 and a DNB in Pediatrics in 2009. In 2014, she was awarded a Fellowship in Pediatric Neurology by the Government Medical College in Trivandrum. She also holds a Diploma in Developmental Neurology from the Government Medical College of Trivandrum’s Child Development Centre. In 2013, she earned a Diploma in Allergy and Asthma from Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore, which the American Academy of Asthma recognized. With 12 years of expertise in Pediatrics, including government and private sectors, and more than six years in the UAE. She has worked at both public and private hospitals in India. Treatment of allergy and asthma disorders in children, management of infectious diseases in children, developmental and neurological issues in children, respiratory, gastrointestinal, hematological, kidney, and urinary tract problems, general pediatric problems, newborn care, and follow-up, growth and development monitoring, and immunization are some of her key areas of interest. She has also completed advanced pediatric and newborn life support and pediatric critical care courses. Her original research has been published in international publications, and she has presented papers at worldwide, national, and regional conferences, winning multiple awards for best paper presentations. Her post-graduate thesis was recognized as the best thesis in Kerala, India.
